The Local Nomad Terms and Conditions
Please read our Terms and Conditions prior to making a booking at The Local Nomad (“the hostel” or “we”).
We guarantee the lowest room rate available on paoniahostel.com. By making a booking with us, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
Reservations
Bookings can be made online at paoniahostel.com, by phone at 970-234-6486, or in person with the hostel manager.
You agree that you may only make reservations for yourself and the members of your party. We are unable to accept reservations made on behalf of someone else. You agree that you will not make reservations for the purpose of reselling, posting, advertising, or marketing through third-party websites or other means. You agree that you will not make a false, fraudulent, or speculative reservation.
Change of guest name on any reservation is not allowed. The hostel has the right to refuse check-in if the guest name is different from the name as stated on the reservation. Please make reservations using your name as it appears on your valid photo ID.
The hostel reserves the right to cancel or modify the reservation you made in its sole discretion without notice if it appears that any reservation has been made in breach of the above terms or involves any abuse of the reservation service.
Change in Availability after Reservation
If your reserved room or bed is unavailable, we may move you to a room with comparable amenities at no additional cost to you. If, due to exceptional circumstances, we are unable to honor your reservation, we will provide as much notice as possible, offer a full refund, or move your reservation to another date of your choosing. This does not apply to changes made at your request.
Maximum Stay
The Local Nomad is a hotel – a lodging facility for temporary, transient occupancy. It is not intended for long-term occupancy, and tenancy may not be established by any guest.
November 1 through April 30: After a maximum of 28 nights in any room or combination of rooms, an away period of at least 28 nights is required between reservations.
May 1 through October 31: After a maximum of 14 nights in any room or combination of rooms, an away period of at least 14 nights is required between reservations.
Group Bookings
Groups consist of 6 people or more. Any booking made for 6 or more people must be confirmed by email with manager@paoniahostel.com. Otherwise your booking cannot be guaranteed. Special Terms and Conditions may apply; please contact us by email for details before booking a large group.
Age Restrictions
Bookings cannot be accepted for guests under the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult. Guests under 18 cannot stay in a room without an adult over 18 years.
For guests traveling with small children, please note that we cannot increase the number of guests per room to accommodate children; our rooms are small and do not have space for a cot, crib, or other portable sleeping surface.
The common areas of the hostel have furnishings and accessories with adult guests in mind, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on property.
Check-in and Check-out
You can check in to your room at 4:00pm or later. Check out is by 11:00am.
Please let us know if you expect to arrive after 11:00pm.
Please bring valid photo ID with you.
Access Code
You will be provided with a unique access code before your arrival. This code will unlock the electronic keypad on both your room and the front door. Do not share this code with others; each guest has a unique code. For the safety and security of all guests, do not grant access to the hostel to anyone outside of your party.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of booking. For reservations made online or by phone, we accept most major credit cards. For reservations made in person at the hostel, we also accept cash with a valid photo ID.
Cancellation (special terms apply to group bookings)
All cancellations for reservations made through this website or by phone must be made by email directly to manager@paoniahostel.com
Free cancellation is available until 14 days before check-in less credit card processing fees.
Within 14 days of check-in, the reservation is non-refundable. If we are able to re-book your room for any of your reserved nights, we will refund you for those nights less processing fees.
Any refund will be made by the same method as the original payment and to the specific card used at the time of booking.
Reservation Change Request
Changes of dates are subject to availability and rate differences may apply. Please contact us with requested changes at least 14 days prior to your originally scheduled arrival to avoid a partial charge for your originally booked stay.
No Show
If you fail to arrive for your stay without notice, no refund will be provided.
Safety and Comfort
Any guest who, in the opinion of hostel staff, compromises the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff, or local residents, will be removed from the premises immediately without refund.
Included in Your Stay
The quoted rate on our website includes your room and its amenities as indicated in the accommodation details; one set of all linens and towels; basic toiletries; access to all common areas. Your reservation does not include meals.
Quiet Hours and Visitors
Quiet hours are 11pm until 7am.
Visitors who do not have a reservation at the hostel may be welcome in downstairs common areas during the day. Only hostel guests are permitted in the building during quiet hours, and visitors without a reservation are not permitted in hostel bedrooms. Please check with hostel managers before inviting multiple visitors.
Cleanliness
Please keep food in the kitchen and dining area, not in sleeping rooms.
Please return books, games, dishes, and other hostel items to their original locations after use. If you use the last of any consumable (toilet paper, soap, cooking oil, etc), please let us know so we can replace it immediately.
Please wash all dishes after use.
Hostel common areas and shared restrooms are cleaned daily; if something needs our attention, please let us know right away.
Please keep common areas tidy and store personal belongings in your bedroom.
We appreciate your use of the recycling bin in the kitchen. If the trash or recycling is full during your stay, give us a call and we’ll be happy to change them out.
Smoking/Vaping
Smoking, vaping, and any use of nicotine or THC products is allowed outdoors only – as a courtesy to other guests, please smoke at least 10 feet from the building. Any guest smoking indoors will be assessed a cleaning fee of $200 and will be asked to leave the premises immediately without refund.
Outdoor Spaces
Please use outdoor spaces as you would in any residential neighborhood; no 2am drum circles or naked gardening.
Please do not leave trash or cigarette butts on the ground.
Drugs & Alcohol
Illicit drug use and/or excessive intoxication will not be tolerated. Marijuana is legal in Colorado and may be smoked outdoors only.
Pets
At this time, we are unable to accommodate pets. Service animals are welcome – they must be under the handler’s control at all times, and they are not allowed on furniture or in the yard.
Personal Property
It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are secure at all times. The Local Nomad accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ property.
Check-out
Before you leave, place used towels in the laundry hamper in the restroom.
You do not need to do anything with your bedding.
Intellectual Property
The Local Nomad holds all intellectual property rights pertaining to its website. It is forbidden to copy, make commercial use of, transmit, or otherwise use any text or images on the website.
Modification of Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions may be modified or updated by the hostel from time to time. In this event, the hostel shall display the amended Terms and Conditions on its website. The amended Terms and Conditions shall be automatically applicable to any reservation made on or after the date posted.
